Gideon calls me his angel, but he’s the miracle in my life. My gorgeous, wounded warrior, so determined to slay my demons while refusing to face his own.
The vows we’d exchanged should have bound us tighter than blood and flesh. Instead they opened up old wounds, exposed pain and insecurities, and lured bitter enemies out of the shadows. I felt him slipping from my grasp; my greatest fears becoming my reality; my love tested in ways I wasn’t sure I was strong enough to bear.
At the brightest time in our lives, the darkness of his past encroached and threatened everything we’d worked so hard for. We faced a terrible choice: the familiar safety of the lives we’d had before each other or the fight for a future that suddenly seemed an impossible and hopeless dream.

Captivated by You Book Review
I am so disappointed with this book. I spent days re-reading the first three books and falling in love with Eva and Gideon all over again all in preparation for more to their amazing story.I had deliberately avoided all teasers and snippets so the whole thing was fresh. Imagine my surprise when I’m faced with Gideon’s POV. I was so happy… for a few chapters.
I felt this was no more than a load of sex scenes padded out with rehashed scenes from books 1-3 and little of anything else. I remember reading something from Sylvia once saying that she would describe her books as sexy romance and not erotic because the sex could be removed and we’d still have a story. If we removed all the sex from this book we’d be left with next to nothing. I get that Gideon and Eva’s relationship is largely built on their need for each other physically, but come on, do we really need the details all the time?
I’ll read the last book whenever they decide to release it, just because I’ve come this far, but I have seriously lost the love I had for this series now.
